More on Palin   1 comment

Apparently, according to Republican strategists in the McCain campaign, we won’t see Sarah Palin interviewed in the media.  The spin?  That “the Media” may record Palin into saying something that the voters won’t like.  This is the actual position, I am not making this up.  I’m flabbergasted that this is actually the best face that can be put on this…

Now, I know that the stage was set for this by the big booing of the press during the RNC, but… seriously?  We don’t want our candidate interviewed because the public might find out that they don’t like her positions?  What happened to open government?  How can anyone claim to be enthusiastic about this pick if they aren’t allowed to hear her actually describe her views to the public?

Don’t you find, “Oh, the public isn’t interested in seeing her interviewed” kind of… insulting?  Arrogant?  Something?

  1. Go check out Jane Smiley’s blog post over at Huffington – that pretty much sums it up for me.
